Wow!

Where has time gone? I hadn't realized it has been 7 months since my last post! Shameful, really.

Well, let's see. Mr. Beans has completed another year of preschool and we just had graduation for him on the 21st. It was too cute! I didn't cry either. Although, it did hit me later that night that he will be gone all day everyday next year and that makes me sad! Tatertot is just about done with her dance classes until August. She is so good at it. She does really well at tap and being the youngest in her class, she is one of the better dancers when it comes to tap.

We have started demolition on our screened in porch yesterday. When the contractors built it they used wooden screen doors to screen it in! How chintzy can you be? So Fireball got all of those off yesterday and now we will be taking down the fan and the other parts that we won't be using soon. We are converting the porch into Tatertot's bedroom. She is so excited about it. While we were taking the screens down she was telling us 'Welcome to my room', she is too funny!

We spent Saturday, May 22 with our friends and their daughter at their house. We cooked out and had bbq ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers and corn on the grill. Baked beans, deviled eggs and potato salad. For dessert, I brought strawberry shortcake. Today we are at home, relaxing and I'm doing laundry and straightening up the house too.

Mr. Beans has decided that he wants to play t-ball this year. I'm super excited that he wants to play a sport. He starts June 15th and goes for about a month. Tatertot is bummed that she can't play but in order to play sports on a city team you have to be 4 and she misses the cut off by almost 2 months.

In July, we are heading to Chicago for 3 days. We will be staying with a friend so we are saving $$ on hotel. Mr. Beans is really into dinosaurs so we will be visiting the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium for Tatertot and possibly the Science and Industry Museum on our last day. We are counting down the days until we leave, saving our pennies and getting all our ducks in a row for when we are gone. This will be our first trip with the kids that is overnight. We went to Boone for a day trip to see Thomas the train. I hope the kids will sleep well when we are staying with our friend.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial weekend!

Thanks for stopping by...
